Automated inter process Material Handling conveyors for manufacturing lines and factories

Product flow is an essential infrastructure to the manufacturing process

It is a determinant for the utilization efficiency of the process tools, the economy of the work-in-process, and the manufacturing cycle time of the product.

Our material handling aims to achieve up to 30% gains in these by resolving the problems of the traditional inter process discrete work transporter.

Examples: Overhead vehicles in semiconductors, and manual or
automated guided vehicles in
production lines.

Expanding, Modernizing and Improving the End-user’s Production in:

  • Manufacturing Cycle Time (CT)
  • Throughput Capacity (CY)
  • Inter Process Delivery Time (T)
  • Work in Process Content (W)
  • Equipment Cost (C)

With Material Handling Systems, Based on Transport Nets:

  • Parallel, independent and direct flow of workpiece containers on conveyor lines and conveyor networks.
  • Autonomous, collision-less, soft accumulating flexible workflow

NEW MATERIAL HANDLING EFFICIENCY

Traditional methodologies for inter process material transport have been of the discrete manual, discrete vehicle, and the linear conveyor type. Our New Millennia Product, based on the infrastructure of super conveyors, adds a new generation to the above established technologies. It combines the flexibility of discrete, auto/manual, inter process transporters of the product with the continuous flow linear conveyor’s high capacity. This is accomplished by creating a network of transport lines, or single transfer lines with discrete robotic handling of a product, and on which lines high density of products move massively parallel, and independently of each other, in an autonomous manner to their processing destinations. Such independent target destinations are given to the product at entry into the transport network, or single transfer lines, connecting the tools, or while in a network receiving a target reassignment. With soft accumulating transport the New Millennia Product also provides a storage capacity allowing for the dynamic upsets in workflow rates. The benefit to manufacturing is the substantial increase in capacity and reduced cycle time.

The product relies on super conveyor type track modules from the company moving product carriers of the end-user manufacturer. The end-user (or his system integrator) can configure the inter process transport track network using the company supplied super transport modules with its embedded autonomous controls.

WHAT IS A SUPER (OR ROBOTIC) CONVEYOR?

Such conveyors are capable of transferring, accumulating, and storing a product as individual independent products with independent destinations without interference. Configuring such super conveyors into a network achieves unprecedented productivity gains.

WHAT A SUPERCONVEYOR IS NOT:

Such a conveyor is not really a conveyor in the common sense.
